Judge Judith Colenback Savage joined Roger Williams University School of Law in 2014 as Distinguished Jurist in Residence. This spring, she is teaching "Criminal Procedure: Adjudication" and "The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Color Blindness," a Perspectives course based on the book by the same title. She is also advising students on their careers and assisting them with legal research and writing.

Judge Savage will be hosting RWU's "Mass Incarceration" symposium on March 27, 2015.

Prior to joining the RWU faculty, Judge Savage served on the Rhode Island Superior Court from 1993 until her retirement in 2013. Previously, she served as Executive Counsel to Rhode Island Governor Bruce Sundlun and practiced at Edwards & Angell. Judge Savage is a co-editor of A Practical Guide to Evidence in Rhode Island.
